I have been with Heil and Kay Insurance for years. They always provide excellent service and yes they do go the extra mile to help in every way possible. Founders Insurance is a lower priced one which is a choice you make. You can pay more and have a more highly recommended Insurance Company of your choice. They shop around for you and if you have anty doubts, do it yourself. There are lots of companies out there to insure your vehicle with.

I’ve been working with John for a few years now, and the service has always been excellent. H&K provide insurance services for both my business and personal needs. They have always taken an education-first approach; John has thoroughly explained each aspect of coverage so that I can make the decision that is best for my business and household. I really appreciate the level of service provided and would recommend to anyone wanting to be sure they have the proper insurance coverage.

Save your money.
I asked for inexpensive auto insurance. Sold me sub-standard.
after many years I filed my 1st claim. Insurance company would not pay (Founder’s) and Heil and Kay was no help at all. Would not go to bat for me. would not return phone calls.

1. they should tell customers that insurance company they are placing one with is poorly rated and give customer choice.
2. they should provide service and support to their customers when claim is filed.I was told ” non responsiveness to claims is not our problem”.
3. they should at least have the courtesy to return calls

I am in the process of filing a report with the Illinois Insurance Commissioner and the Attorney General of Illinois. They should be held responsible for what they sell.

Mark Kay is the best insurance guy I have ever had. When I need him he’s always there. Had a recent accident and Mark went above and beyond to make sure the other guys insurance covered it. Not even his job. His staff is great they handl all my insurance. Highly recommend them.

I contacted Heil and Kay Insurance this week–June 18 or 19, 2019 in search of auto and home insurance. I was completely honest and answered all questions including who my present insurance company was and when my insurance was about to expire. But on Friday June 21, I was asked by Heil’s broker to forward a copy of my current auto insurance policy from AAA.

Although every company I talked to about insurance over the years ( I am 67) never asked me to forward a copy of my insurance to them, he told me this was necessary supposedly because Hanover Insurance supposedly could not find any record that I had auto insurance, a claim no other company has ever made. Instead I sent him a copy of my auto insurance card (proof of insurance) which I keep in my car. When that did not suffice, I realized he was asking for information he and his company were not entitled to see. The Heil and Kay rep claimed he and Hanover needed to see what coverage I had–something no other company has ever asked me to provide. Anyone with even an ounce of intelligence would smell such an obvious scam. I called the Attorney General’s office and a rep at the office said she never heard of an insurance company asking for that kind of information.

My recommendation is do not do business with these folks. They are not honest and not to be trusted. I’ll stick with AAA for now.
