Been a customer since I was 16. I updated my vehicle from a 2014 Ford Fusion to a 2018 BMW x3. My agent told me my rates would go from $600/6 months to $1200/6 months. Literally double for the exact same coverage. I called to try to try to negotiate my rates and adjust my policy terms to get as close to the $600 I was paying before. Customer service was not helpful and attempted to instill fear into me by saying “you don’t want to adjust your policy too much….you don’t want someone coming after you and suing you if you hurt someone with your car” This made me irate. I have a clean driving record, and felt manipulated into keeping my policy terms as is. I told the CSR to tell my agent to get back to me since we weren’t able to come to a resolution….my agent never reached back out to me. So I cancelled my policy…..and even AFTER I got a policy cancellation confirmation, they charged me $1600!!! Thankfully I deleted my auto pay, otherwise they would have withdrawn this from my checking account.
I have since switched to Geico and have had nothing but phenomenal service and pay LESS than I was paying for my 10 year old Ford Fusion.
