Called to cancel my policy as I sold the vehicle. Prompt said 15-30 min wait! I’m now at 2 hours and 18 minutes!🤬🤬! Never ever again will I use this company!! Not to mention that my rate doubled for this year! I can’t help to wonder if they see that you’re calling to CANCEL so they purposely prolong the call hoping you’ll give up, thus giving them another day of your money! I really hate the way people do business these days, ZERO customer service! I’m now hanging up because I don’t have the time to waste, but just know Progressive, you lost a customer forever! Whoever is teaching this kind of marketing needs to be fired! It’s ruining America! You’re DONE!

My husband was trying to get a QUOTE on our insurance if adding a new vehicle. They added it and our insurance jumped by $200 a month. We did not know they added the other vehicle because we never received an insurance card with the new vehicle on it. We got on the website for something (not even sure why now) and tgat is when we saw our next payment was almost $800. I got on the phone immediately, I was told the new pickup was added to our police and that was why it went up. I told them it was supposed to be a QUOTE if we were to add it. They took it off like I asked but I was still going to be charged $525 for August. They would not accept that the vehicle was not supposed to be added and charged us for July and August on the August bill. I will not pay it and I officially canceled my insurance with Progressive that I have had for over 6 years. I will never go back and I will make sure anyone that asks about insurance will know exactly how they treat customers that have been with them for a while

If I could leave a review with 0 stars I would. This is THE ABSOLUTE WORST INSURANCE I HAVE EVER HAD .Just know if you’re ever in an accident no one will even be available.I WAS STRANDED FOR 2 hours! With full coverage apparently I still had to pay $90 for someone to come change a tire, after that I sat on the side of the rode for two hours waiting for someone from progressive to come help!!! I accidentally hit a concrete median. Along with multiple other people coming behind me hitting the median due to the way the construction had the cones set up and the location with low visibility! It was around at 11:30/ midnight and in the middle of nowhere in a construction zone. My tire popped and it ended up that I had bent my strut when I hit the median. I have been with progressive for years, made on time payments. This is the very first at fault accident with them. They haven’t had to pay anything for me, I’ve been a good driver and pay every month for FULL COVERAGE!!!! The damages were under $2000 I pay $1000 deductible. I Litterally hit a concrete median and bent my strut. I couldn’t talk to anyone besides my insurance adjuster who never had time for me told me if my car wasn’t done by 30 days my rental would still be covered because I got a rental for $28 a day when I’m covered for $40 per day. Fast forward to today no telling me 5 days after they stopped paying for the rental that I owe. I can’t talk to anyone, because they don’t answer or call you back, which is extremely frustrating when it’s urgent. Julia b. My rep doesn’t answer or get back to me, I leave a message for the Superviser chris, no answer or call back in over 30 days!!!! . At the time of the accident I was stranded for 2 hours and had to pay $90 for a tire change. Of progressive did not provide coverage for that either. then after submitting the claim no one would answer Julia the rep is the only person I could talk to is what they would tell me, and she wouldn’t call me back for days not to mention I was expected to send a video and pictures of my bent strut??? How???? I’m not a mechanic!!! Progressive is a complete rip off. DO NOT go through them. They are a complete scam!!!….update Chris called me back finally and only states “ you can only have you rental for 30days don’t know why Julia told you that because the lower price and your max amount you can have for coverage is not true you can only use the max or 30days whatever comes first but was not apologetic or even cared the whole reason I had it passed the 30day is the time insurance takes to respond so kinda seems like I wouldnt have even needed the rental that long if insurance could respond faster then within 5 days. I don’t even care to respond to progressive because this was such a horrible experience for me for 2nd time when I was hit by an uninsured drive years ago that progressive again did nothing and was no help, i just hope to never go through this again worst insurance I highly recommend you stay away. They do not care about you.

I signed and fax a driver exclusion form and they still added my brother who has his own car and insurance and raised my rates and when I wanted to cancel they said I would still owe a balance of 500 dollars even though I filled there form out and wanted to cancel. There customer service just giggled at me and could help me and was transfered to 3 diffrent people I wouldn’t not recommend progressive to anyone after going through this customer service sucks and they shouldn’t have the right just to add people on your policy if they don’t get the form they need to just cancel the policy tell resolved not charge and add drivers.
