I started using this agency when John Palmer owned it for about 12 years. Everyone was helpful and polite. New policies, changes and cancellations were never a problem. Excellent customer service.
Recently I moved out of state. I tried cancelling policies but was told twice I had to email them to do it. The agent on the phone was completely rude. When I told her I had done it before she told me “well, the agency has been sold this is our policy.” After hanging up I called Allstate directly and had the old policies cancelled and the new ones in place in about an hour. Terrible customer service.

I never write a review as I generally just choose not to do business with an organization. However, I am so tired of trying to support businesses within our community, only to find that they do not value customer relationships at all. It was great when John Palmer was the agent, however since he left and sold the business it’s been all about squeezing every penny they can get with no care of compassion for people. I dealt with the policy increases as agents generally have no control over pricing. However, I am so glad that I was able to sell my home and no longer use this agent. All of these years and the first time of even calling this agent, they threaten to take me to collections due to a policy lapse for a property that had already been sold. Now they are trying to get money for a period of time where the property was already covered through another insurance company. I will definitely appeal as an insurer should not be able to collect money for a lapsed policy for property that has already been insured with another company. If this was the case every insurance company will be forever collecting money for customers that choose other insurers or that simply cannot afford to pay to keep a policy active. It’s sad that a couple of hundred dollars mean more than over a decade of business relationship. When I am ready to purchase a new property, I will not use Allstate or this agent ever again!
People be smart with your money and carefully choose whom you opt to do business with and spend your hard earned dollars.

My auto insurance rate has been steadily increasing over the past couple of years. I haven’t had any accidents or tickets in a span of 8 years. I’ve also been with this company for 9.5 years at this point. I reached out to my agent about 2 months ago to review my policy and trying to get them to compete with other quotes I had obtained, which were close to half the rate (same coverage). No one from Allstate reached out and I still haven’t heard anything, aside from this latest email asking me to review them. So, I decided to take them up on their offer. I’d stay away from Allstate, it doesn’t seem like they want to compete. They just want the complacent customer that accepts their bi-annual increases and are happy to pay too much. I ended up switching.
