This company almost bankrupted my favorite bar in Cleveland after we had extensive storms and a power outage. They refused to cover the claims following significant storm damage, which put Happy Dog out nearly 45,000 dollars despite having insurance through this company. It’s very unfortunate that insurance companies like this will put a successful small business out of commission to avoid paying their obligations.

Please look up Happy Dog Cleveland and power outage/Mesa Insurance if you want to find articles outlining the situation. Terrible business practices for someone that insures small businesses.

Here is what they sent me after my policy expired. They grossly misrepresented their attempt to get ahold on me. They tried one time by mail one day after this email was received.

“We are currently experiencing difficulty in reaching the insured. Would you be able to assist us in obtaining alternate contact details or facilitating communication with the insured to ensure their compliance with the auditing procedures?

Please share the notification letter attached with the insured.

This company will do anything to weasle out of their obligations to their customers. Don’t bother even attempting to have a business relationship with this company, they are just in it to scam money and deny claims.
