Canceled me without notice and quoted me twice what progressive charged.

I have been a driver on a policy with Adamson for a few years, then I got my own policy this year. When a payment didn’t go through, I contacted them about the email. I offered to pay via card or bring them cash. I was told not to, and that I’d be billed for both months the next month; paying with cash might result in my paying twice. A month went by, and I received another email, again I contacted them, and I was told to wait while my agent figured out what was wrong. My next contact from Adamson was via mail- a letter I received on the 7th, telling me they’d canceled my policy on the 1st. I was hopeful this was just different offices not speaking with one another and reached out. I was told we needed a brand new policy and my new policy was 180$ (my old policy had been 86). When I reached out to progressive, I got the same coverage, for 93 (with the snapshot). I don’t know what I did to offend these people, but they’ve been clear that the only way they’ll take my money is if I let them rob me, so I’ll give it to someone else. I’m a nice woman, not a fool.

Terrible experience. Was given a quote and I agreed to it but then got charged almost twice the amount of the quote. Contacted them to ask what was going on and never heard back from them. They ghosted me. 4 thumbs 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Genuinely confused by this one. Filled out a bunch of information online for an auto and home insurance quote. After all that, it spits out a Progressive auto quote for ~70% more than the price from Progressive’s own website, and no homeowner’s quote at all (and nothing to even click on to contact me about home insurance). What’s the point of giving them all this info?

Moved to Ankeny this summer and needed auto and homeowners insurance. Picked these guys by luck of the draw. I say “luck” because they’ve been fantastic. Everyone I’ve dealt with (Callie, Erin, and Mike) have been extremely pleasant and helpful. This includes when I’ve asked for information, rates, and walking me through a couple of claims already. I highly recommend them.

A new driver was added to our policy without our authorization or notification (we don’t have kids), don’t feel like we could overcome the broken trust to continue doing business with this agency. Didn’t feel like they were working for us, as their policy holders. We cancelled our policy and went with a more trustworthy company that will be contacting us before any changes are made to receive our authorization. When the agent was made aware of the issue, she acted as if this was a normal thing, and didn’t take in to consideration how this change affected us. What IF that driver got into an accident, and a claim was filed on OUR insurance?! This driver was on our policy for 1.5 months without our knowledge. No phone call, email, mail notification at all….had to call to figure out why our premium increased by $70/month without any accidents or claims. We had automatic payments and didn’t realize until our policy renewal…How is this even legal?!
