In January one of our company trucks was parked in a parking lot when it was rear ended by a 2 ton truck being driven by an insured of Arrow Insurance Agency in Mesquite, Texas. A claim was filed and Kyle Moore with Fullerton Appraisal Services was assigned to do the appraisal. Kyle came out and performed a visual inspection and provided an appraisal for the damages, however, the information he put in his report was incorrect as he failed to list all of the visible damages to our truck, as well as incorrectly stated that the utility bed was Knapheide brand when it is actually made by Omaha. The price and quality difference in these 2 brands is outrageous. Omaha beds are made of a galvalume material and require specific parts and paint that can only be purchased from the manufacturer and are insanely expensive. After receiving multiple bids from professional auto body repair shops and leaving our truck for 5 days at Master Auto Body in Terrell, Texas, it was determined that repairing the bed would be almost impossible. After learning this information we requested that Kyle revise his report making corrections of the wrong information on his claim report and that we would be willing to accept a used, much lower quality bed to replace the Omaha bed that was damaged. Kyle refuses to make any adjustments or revise his report in order for us to have our truck repaired. This accident was of absolutely NO fault of ours and we have Gina above and beyond to resolve this issue in the best interest of everyone involved. We urge the public to do their research on the insurance companies before signing on the dotted line. Due to this unfortunate series of events we are having to file a subrogate claim through our insurance company in order to get our vehicle repaired.
