My son was hit by one of their policy holders, 1st they were quick to act, but then they still hadn’t had an adjuster look at the car after 22 days. they pulled the rental car 2 weeks ago they have had 2 agents handling my claim. finally after badgering them for the last 2 weeks they said the car was totalled and gave us a dollar figure and asked for receipts of recent repairs gave them almost 2000 worth of receipts from the last 2 months and they gave $100 increase. then they released the money and gave me the wrong figure it was less than the original number. they said they would resent the link with the corrections. And it never came. Buyer beware!

THANKFUL FOR AUTO-OWNERS!
We purchased a LG refrigerator less than five years ago, and the linear compressor went out. Our refrigerator had the extended warranty that covered all costs and labor to five years and the linear compressor itself until 10. However, LG would not stand behind their product and gave a consistent runaround. After several days and no refrigerator, no end in sight, my Auto-Owners Rep called me… (I was looking for ins. quotes on cars for our daughter) and Lisa asked how I was doing. I proceeded to tell her the nightmare that we had been going through. She told me that I had taken out extra insurance for my appliances for situations just like this when I started my insurance with them! That phone call was at 4:58 PM (her day was over. She was ready to go home and she stayed to get ball rolling) the very next morning at 7:50 my phone was already ringing and the insurance claim had already went out! Within 24 hours it was all said and done, and I now have a beautiful new refrigerator (fully stocked with food again) sitting in my kitchen! I cannot tell you enough how completely painless, quick and efficient Auto-Owners made this! If only I had remembered to begin with that I had taken out this extra coverage, I never would have continued the nightmare with LG!

An appliance company who uses auto owners needed to file a claim because they flooded my parents kitchen. Auto owners sent out an adjuster who decided that the dining room does not need to be replaced because of a “transition”. These floors are the exact same, the reason there is a “transition” is because the run was going to be close to too long so we broke the run up in the door way. It’s level and and SAME floor. This adjuster told my parents it’s not getting replaced because of the transition, so we asked, had we done it wrong and not broken that run up would it have gotten replaced and he said yes he would have been rewarded had we done the job wrong.

So now in an elderly persons house who put this floor in so everything would flush and the same Auto Owners is going to come in and hodge podge my parents flooring not only with appearance of multiple floors on the first level now but with uneven transitions.

Just another fine example of insurance getting things done.

BEWARE! 15 Years with Auto-Owners for building and work comp insurance! Five employees, three Auto Technicians and two office employees with NO claims. I get work comp audits every year because it is based on payroll totals. All of the sudden I get an audit and a up charge of $3000.00 because Auto-Owners decided to reclassify my two office employees to Auto Technicians with no discussion at all. They would not reconsider and stuck it to me. All of this is because Auto-Owners decided to spread their insurance base and sold to high risk clients and lost to many claims. BEWARE of the Thieves!!! Would NOT recommend!!!!!

I have contacted Aaron Weber at Auto Owners multiple times because Auto Owners issued a policy to someone else in my name. The person then had an accident which is now on my driving report and is costing me money through higher premiums every month. I have attempted multiple times to resolve this issue but no one at Auto Owners seems interested in fixing the problem that they caused through their negligence. I have reported this agency to the Indiana Department of Insurance, and I’m hoping that I can finally get a resolution.
