When we received this notification we reached out to Binford and spoke to Tracey who said she would update the contact information for the bank and “take care of” getting the flood policy information to our mortgage so that their forced policy
would be canceled. This never occurred and after several months of hassle and trying to get everything corrected, Tracey finally admitted she did not follow through and she only updated the information. Upon further check, she failed to update the bank information correctly. When we attempted to get to the bottom of everything, Tracey claimed that her, Jessica, and another person in the office all handled the file but failed to make sure one person had actually corrected the insurance and thus we had no idea that the bank’s force policy continued for yet another year.
After contacting them about these issues for two years in a row, they stopped returning our phone calls and emails. We are still dealing with the short falls of this company and have transferred everything to a competent insurance company since Binford cannot handle straightforward tasks like updating a mortgage company’s information after a transfer. Run from this company and its people as fast as you can.
