Farmers Insurance – Rodney Redden Reviews, Rate, Services, Address

Back in 2016 I felt like I was paying WAY too much for insurance through Rodney Redden at Farmers Insurance. I was working, going to school and starting my business and just wasn’t paying attention. I thought all insurance companies basically charged the same rates based on your past claims history and driving record so I never checked around for prices. Also, I had given Farmers insurance company permission to deduct the payments directly from my bank account monthly to get a small discount. Big mistake because now I am not writing checks to them, out of site, out of mind.

My records show in January 2013 my monthly fee was a very high $367.79 in January 2013, then to $490.24 in June 2015, then to $589.89 in September 2015, then to $666.37 in February 2016, then to to $764.66 in August of 2016. $764.66, that was my insurance payment…..A MONTH for a modest 1,700 sq ft house and three average vehicles. In 3 years my insurance almost doubled. Is my math correct, at $764.66 monthly, would that have been $9175.92 for the year? Wow, I felt pretty stupid for not checking into this sooner.

I “expressed my concerns” to Rodney about the price hikes and may have mentioned the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) to him and for some reason, Rodney sent me a check for $2,000….I didn’t even ask for a refund but I cashed the check and switched insurance companies for much, much, much better rates. I should have sued him. Today, in 2022 I shop around and my insurance on the same house and two very similar, average vehicles will be about $225 per month, for very similar coverage. Pay attention folks, pay attention. Never give an insurance company access to your bank account. If you have elderly relatives, check on their insurance costs too, make sure they are getting the best rate.

Rodney’s reply to me: “Every renewal I send a letter out asking you to give me a call so we can go do a review of your insurance policy. I’m glad you received the 2000 refund, I believe you were paying for a vehicle that you forgot to call and cancel, so I was able to cancel it retroactive to create the refund.”

Don’t blame the victim. I spoke to my new insurance company about this, and they said you should have not been increasing my rates every few months for NO REASON. When I dropped you as my agent and switched insurance companies, I was about to get a rate FAR below what you were taking from my account each month. You are lucky I am so busy, or I would have sued you.

Rodney is one of the best agents I had ever do business with.
Always respond fast, always vary knowledgeable about all the rules and laws, always makes sure that my requests will be a priority and completes them in a timely manner!

This agency is so helpful. They make Sure they get you the coverage that you want and at a price that you cant beat. Well Rodney sold me insurance on my house that doesn’t cover anything but fire damage. I called and left a message asking why he would sell me this insurance and no phone call from him. It’s pathetic how people put money in front of a person that has caving in walls.
