If I could leave 1 star I would. Was referred to this agency by a carrier company I contracted with. The customer service is null and void. I don’t get return calls back, my emails do not get answered they go to junk per my agent Scott. Not sure how when we communicated through email to the policy up. None of my additional insured were sent renewal certificates. I can’t even get additional insureds added to the policy for more work. Just a complete mess for my small business trying to make it. I can’t with the excuses. The inability to follow up or follow through is why I promptly switched my policy elsewhere. Dont waste your time you will lose money as a business dealing with this agency!!!

Not only did the agent Scott not send out renewals or add more business, he decided to contact my contract carrier to say that I didn’t have coverage. Not that I switched agents, which is clearly what happened and he knows it. He insinuated to my company that I did not have coverage which in fact I did, he just wasn’t the agent of record. Worse experience ever dealing with Kernan Agency as a whole. Not professional at all, will leave you and your business needs in limbo. They don’t feel like working for the client that chose them as an Insurance agent or maybe it was just my company. Took my business elsewhere and you should too.

If I’m posting a review about an insurance company on Google, believe me when I say that Kernan Insurance is worth every second of my time spent. I’ve never had an experience like the one I’ve had with Kernan over the years, where I legitimately feel like their only client. I get quick, thorough responses as well as great quotes and care on the coverage I need. If you’re looking for an insurance agency with actual human beings on the other end of the inbox or phone, look no further. Five stars.

I work with Kernan insurance for all of my personal lines of insurance and have been nothing but pleased with my experience. They were able to get me competitive pricing on all of my lines and their customer service is great. I’ve made phone calls to my agent Brad on weekends and late evenings and he always answers or returns my calls quickly. I am happy recommending Kernan Insurance to others.

Do NOT use Kernan!! I had my auto and renters insurance policy through them for years until today. I had never had good customer service, and the website never showed my policies. My auto-insurance was due for payment in April, yet I never got a single letter notifying me. I would have checked online, but as mentioned before…my policies never show up. Today I set out to fix these issues, but was sent back and forth between the headquarters of Erie and my agent at Kernan, both stating that the other party was responsible for helping me. In the end, they kicked me off of my auto insurance because I was late to pay (never was notified…) and charged me $244 for the time between when my policy was due for renewal and now. Thankfully, I had still been insured that whole time because it auto-renewed. However, if I had been notified in any way that payment was due, I would still be a customer through Erie at Kernan. But they failed to contact me, failed to assist me, and failed to solve my issues. So now I’m a progressive customer.
