I have been attempting to cancel my life insurance policy since March. All I get is generic responses weeks later from Cole Snell. My policy is still active and I’m beyond tired of waiting weeks to months for a response. I should have read the other reviews before wasting my money with LLIC.

I deposited more than $40k into my policy about 6 weeks ago and the money is still not showing up in my whole life account. Every time I ask about my money, I get a new date that the money will be showing and available but of course when that date arises, I only get excuses and a new date. I’m really starting to get concerned about the legitimacy of this company and the security of the funds they have.

My father was an agent for Lafayette Life for many years. Everyone in my family has life insurance policies with Lafayette Life. My parents bought policies on their grandchildren. My mother and father (who was the agent on the policies) are now deceased. We have been trying for 2 months to have the account paying the premiums on the policies updated and to make sure the grandkids are now the owners…they were previously co-owners with my mother. My sisters and the grandkids have spent hours on the phone with reps. We have gotten multiple different answers on how to proceed. Everyone seems to get a different answer when they call. The wait time is atrocious and some have not gotten “call backs” when requested. My father always told his clients that Lafayette Life has an A+ rating. It seems like that is no longer the case. The customer service is sadly nonexistant.

Update to my review from a year ago. I never received a return phone call or the policy analysis I requested. All 3 policies that I own with them have now been reduced to avoid becoming a MEC. The communication is terrible. They stopped drafting payments for months, and when I called, they told me they were going to send a letter. The dividend on all 3 policies goes down every year instead of increasing. They used to blame it on low interest rates. Now that rates have been higher, the dividend went even lower.

have been a multiple policy holder for almost 20 years. Their customer service is terrible. It is difficult to get anyone on the telephone. They have told me multiple times that a review of my policy takes 5 business days. I’ve been waiting 2 months. I’ve called 3 times and submitted written requests, and they are all ignored. Whole life policy performance is subpar. I would avoid this company.

I have been trying to get a hold of someone. Call back number has been left numerous times also. Line ends up going dead after an hour the same song on repeat that now huants my dreams. Someone needs to contact my mother in law back. Not only was the last rep rude to her you still had her husband as alive and the holder on the policy. He passes a year and a half ago. Paper work was filled out and sent to you. What is going on?
