New York Life Insurance Customer Reviews:
The company itself is terrible. I had to spend at least 10 hours a week being the ‘middle man’ between this company and my hospital/physicians after having to go on short term disability from an MVA.
Even when I downloaded all the paperwork they needed myself onto the online portal I had to call them multiple times a week to remind them the information they needed was there so they would do their job (process the paperwork they required). This company does no true work in terms of their clients/the patients’ disability process. If you are not willing or unable to do all the footwork for them (the equivalent of a part-time job) I suggest you work with one of the many other insurance companies, none of which could be any worse at customer service than NYL.
