sent me a non-renewal for two claims or “roadside occurrences” within 36 months.
one was where some kid with no insurance turned in front of my motorcycle.
the other was a lady that side swiped me and we didn’t even file a claim.
seems like i was using insurance how its meant to be used especially when neither was my fault. so much for the forgiveness factor as a DIAMOND LEVEL customer.

Like others have said–they require you to sign up for auto-payments, which we did. We have one credit card that has always been reserved for payments. The bank we use changed names and sent us new credit cards that had the exact same number, but a different expiration date (which I missed). I never activated them because they only had a different picture on them, and then the bank decided to shut the old cards off without letting us know. Further, when the payment was declined, Progressive never sent us anything. They never sent our agent anything. Instead they waited, cancelled the policy and sent us to collections. To reinstate the expired policy that had lapsed for a month, they charged us $200/month more than what our old policy was. We will be changing as soon as our policy expires so that we can do so without the lapse penalty at a new place.

Progressive insurance is another big box insurance company that does not care about anyone or anything. The customer service is only second to Gecio who just can’t be beat at how terrible they are. From my experience with Progressive I would never ever do business with them. State Farm on the other hand and All state have been proven to be great. I have family and friends who have them and have gotten in accidents with them and have been provided excellent service.

I have been a Progressive customer since 2008. They have done me wrong. They will open collections before trying to collect a bill that they couldnt tell me about concerning a closed policy. Neither their autopayment, customer service, or bill collectors do any work. Now my credit score is damaged and I have to find new insurance that is run by professionals.
