Got in a car accident, someone hit me from behind, so my SUV had to be put in the shop and the company refused to give me a rental that was best for me which would’ve been another SUV. I feel like I should’ve been able to get a SUV because that’s what I currently drive, and I drive a SUV for a reason, and to top it all off, I’m a progressive customer as well as the person who hit me. This company does not care about their customers best interest. They’re so nice and helpful when they’re giving you a quote but get in an accident and see just how helpful they are.

I’ll preface this review by stating I am an insurance agent, I work for an independent agency here in Lafayette and we sell coverage through Progressive and multiple other carriers. In my experience Progressive tends to have the best auto rates a majority of the time when we quote and handles claims better than most other carriers. From a customers stand point I’d say they are one of the easiest carriers to work with.

Bill increased by $100 out of nowhere, I refused to pay it and got my license flagged twice for the same policy. Which yeah, shame on me for just continuing on without insurance but the amount of vengeance this company came back for was ridiculous. Paid my dues and attempted to start a new policy, online was $200 more than my original policy and over the phone I got a quote for $800 a month for liability. Now here we are over a month later and I have to provide proof of insurance because they decided to contact the OMV yet again. GoAuto has been great and gave me a policy way cheaper than Progressive has ever offered, no scam avenues to dish out surprise charges. Snapshot is a joke.

Got insurance with progressive when I first got my car and it was a fair amount I was paying so I had no problem with it. Just so happen to miss some sort of notification about reviewing my information and my policy was canceled. Tried to get a new policy and my rates went up 2.5 times higher than my original policy that I only had with for about 2 months with no additional accidents/ticket. Will no longer use Progressive.

I would give no stars if it were an option…This company has raised my rates dramatically for no ghee reason than where I live. I’m a driver with no accidents or tickets my rate went from 300 to 500 bucks a month needless to say I cancelled the policy and they had the nerve to still process payments that should have been discontinued not once but twice..no I was not happy with the service but the pice was affordable at the time…signed a disappointed and disgusted customer
