I had been with Hoffman Insurance for over 25 years. The previous owner was amazing. The new owners are terrible about responding. We had our home, 2 cars and boats with Hoffman. I called with some questions regarding the home policy. I was told he would review and get back to me when the policy would renew. We received a bill with no call to review. I called a month before the bill was due and spoke with his wife and I had very detailed questions and wanted to change the deductible. She said she would have Matt look into this and call me back. Almost 3 weeks later no one calls me back and the bill is due. I called again at 9:30 AM and left a very detailed message of my questions again. I received a call back in the afternoon the next day. And all he said was, so you have some questions. With all the detailed questions I had before, he hadn’t looked into anything. We found a new agent to switch our policies to and they are amazing and very responsive. I would not recommend the new owners of Hoffman at all.

After being a loyal client for nearly 20 years, with the change in ownership it was an easy decision to leave. It took them over three months to remove a vehicle (even after he confirmed my email, thank goodness for the paper trail), I had to catch the error, do all the follow-up, and figure out back pay. Once I switched agents they refused to submit information needed for my new agent. Matt doesn’t make you feel like the client, he wants you to treat him like he’s doing you the favor (which he doesn’t do any of the work he says he will/did).

I am not a easy person to insure. I think i have had over 40 cars insured and a couple drivers and have never had a issue with anything. The rate i pay is so low i don’t even look for cheaper. I laugh when another company sends me something saying how much they can save me a year. They would owe me because i don’t pay what they claim they can save me.

I like working with Hoffman Insurance because they work with multiple insurance companies. My current insurance went way up on Auto and Car insurance and Matt the new owner was able to switch insurance companies and keep my rates about the same or a little lower. Very friendly to work with and very knowledgeable about the insurance business.

I’ve been loyal to this company (John, recently retired) for 12+ years. I am appalled at the new ownership. I called to update my payment information and was told it would be taken care of. 2 weeks later, I receive a cancellation notice from the insurance company. I was again told it would be taken care of with no apology for the delay or inconvenience. Since he lied and said it would be done weeks ago, my insurance was about to be canceled on Friday (yesterday). So this was urgent and I let him know my concern about having coverage for the weekend. He told me not to worry and it would get done. Well, he never did it. Never called me back and now I’m left with no insurance on a Saturday before I need to go to work. This is outrageous, and should have never have happened. False information. Terrible. Horrible service.
