Absolute trash company!
All they care about is lining their pockets with your hard earned $$.

They charged me $3600, ( double What my previous company was charging me for homeowners).
This was because my last company dropped me after paying out $6,500 on a claim ( my first claim in 21 yrs with them).
I was told that Safeco premium was so much higher because of my house being a risk. OK
OK, I get that. so I paid it.
10 Months with them and I get a letter stating that they’re dropping Me at the end of my 12 months
(they’re adjusters feel that I’m too big of a risk).

So I give you 2 years worth of INS payments just for you to skip out on me. ( I have not filed any claims with them, And I couldn’t be late on my payments because I gave them all of the money upfront last year).
10 Negative Stars, do not recommend.

Stay away from them like the plague!
I had home and car insurance with them. Car insurance was good but home insurance was a far from pleasant experience. They held claims that weren’t paid out against me ( which I found out was normal) but I am a new home owner so thought just seeing if they cover something was harmless!
Then they did a home inspection and nit picked the dumbest stuff!
No rail on steps! Crack in concrete steps!
I put new siding on house, put up a new wooden fence, solar panels on roof and they still dropped me.
STAY AWAY!

Terrible customer service. They don’t return phone calls or emails. They sent their communication to an inactive email account (not the one we entered for the claim). Since we had no idea what the claim status was, we had to pay for three days rental vehicle, and of course they gave us a ridiculously expensive rental at $60/day.

Safeco has ladder assists who do their inspections in a claim. The are not qualified and are paid to look the other way. Their rates are high and you have no protection. Stay away from this company. They sent 3 different ladder assists out to do my inspection. They wouldn’t accept the first ones because the actually noted the damage in the inspection. The third one finally claimed no damage so they accepted this one. We had a tree struck by lightening and fell on our roof. Broke the decking and they of course didn’t note that and denied our claim. Their reviews are awful. They are not for the customer even we pay the high price for insurance. Don’t make the mistake we n did. Stay away from safeco who is with liberty mutual.

Worst car insurance company out there along with the Tradewinds Group. They jacked up my monthly payments without notice. Increased by over $500 a month due to an error on their side. I could never get anything resolved due to the very poor customer service from safeco and tradewinds! I lost a lot of money using this place.
